Hi,I’m astrid
A contemporary photo artist.
I was born in Nuremberg, Germany but have spent my life living and travelling in a variety of different countries. I have been fortunate enough to have had my mind opened by the diversity of the world. Holding passions such as travel, adventure and photography gradually led me from documenting life around me as it is, into an abstract world of expression that enables me to bring my visual imagination to life.
With a background in surface science, I am drawn to details, patterns, textures, forms, and colours that surround us and influence our feelings. They are the basis of my inspiration and provide the frames to my works. Through camera movement I paint through these frames and their colours transforming them into abstracts that bring my visual imagination to life.
With my works I seek to raise awareness of nature and bridge the gap between the East and the West.
Art has this amazing power to communicate and evoke emotions that words alone cannot. By creating art that reflects my values and beliefs, I hope to create a positive change in the world and make a difference in the lives of those who view my works.
